I said I would try to be diligent with my posts but months have passed and I have let myself down.
Attempt at consistent blog writing: Take Two
2009 is proving to be incredible. Yes, we are only 3 months in but I've had more fun in those few months than I can remember having last year. Here is an update.
In February, Wenhui and I went to Melbourne for ten days. I absolutely fell in love with the city and have every intention of moving there someday. Perhaps at the end of this year I may impliment this plan if jobs are unavailable here. I could rant on about Melbourne for this entire post but I wouldn't want to bore you all. Met some wonderful people, shopped up a storm, ate incredible food and enjoyed the simple things like trams, walking, statues and tall buildings.
Since arriving back to windy/rainy/scorching/freezing/sunny Wellington I have commenced my third year of university. I think I am in denial about the fact that when this year ends, I'll have to exit this safety bubble I've been living in for the last 21 years. The future is a daunting thought, particularly when I have no idea what I want to do with my degree. University is going okay, so far. The pressure hasn't really hit yet so my weekends are continually alcohol fuelled, sleepless and full of adventure.
I have met some new friends this year and they are...I have no words. I adore each and every one of them. Louie, my good friend, and I had discussed that we don't really have a mutual group of friends. Well now we've established this little group and they're all such fun, friendly and gorgeous individuals. Thank goodness for Cuba St, red wine, gigs and cigarettes.
Well to end this post, I'll share with you all the one thing that's making my heart throb uncontrollably right now..... I have tickets to see Flight of the Conchords!
This is the only New Zealand show they're doing before heading to the States and WE got tickets. I have to travel a wee distance to get to the venue but still, considering they're my number 1 listened to band on LastFM, I have 95 of their tracks on my iPod, own their television series on DVD plus their BBC radio series and album on CD, and I'm generally pretty much obsessed with.... It'll be worth every minute :D
